Kangaroo on GKFX, and Umbrella?
Hi
I know your preferred broker is pepperstone but I live in the UK and its important for me to use a UK broker that is tax free, (spread betting account). I currently use GKFX whom I have found to be excellent. Do you know if this broker works with Kangaroo?
Also I have heard a bit about some umbrella ea's thats a different set up to the PAMM idea. Can you tell me how this will work and when its likely to be released? Will it be a trade copier or will you be releasing individual ea's? Also any idea of cost?
Thanks!
Trevor

With regards to GKFX (or any brokers for that matter) key things are:
Not a 'special preferred broker' per se, but there are key things:
1) Low spreads
2) Variable spreads (not fixed)
3) Good liqudity
4) High tick rates (volume) of 6000+ per HR.
As for the PAMM...keep watching the site for the latest as all of your questions are still being worked out from what I've seen from the postings
MAM Lolli+Roo (Both Conservative and Aggresssive) and on both ICM and FinFX ...remember, it is a marathon and there will be bad days in the MAM.

Dutch and Ozzie have been working on a trade copier service to work in conjunction with the kangaroo. This is an option that you may want to keep watch for. This would allow you to use your current account, but still receive the good trades of a good account.

Thanks. This is what I am interested in. Do you know if the trade copier will just be for the Kangaroo or will it include other ea's?

Re: Kangaroo on GKFX, and Umbrella?
Kangaroo will put on his "guinea pig" mask and we'll try the copier functions on it first. If poor piglet is still alive and in good shape at the end of the test, we'll offer all our future EAs as copier versions, too. But this will not happen tomorrow. Things needs to be planned, developed and tested 1000x times before we even thinking on releasing anything to some ppl. for beta testing.

Hi Tom
Thats good to know. Any idea of rough time scales, are we talking 6 months, a year or two years? I have used a UK based trade copier service called 4xSolutions which has been excellent and bullet proof for trade replication. Its free to the provider and the subscribers pay a small fee on top of the fee that they pay directly to the provider.
Just a thought, as you might not need to reinvent the wheel, and it could save a whole lot of time.
Thanks.

Re: Kangaroo on GKFX, and Umbrella?
We'll take everything into consideration. "Not reinventing the wheel" is making things easy and fast. However, making our own code is giving flexibility and much faster reaction times from our side when problems arising. Anyway, we want to do the right thing in every aspect.
I am not in a position to tell anything about time scales. There are a lot of things to plan/develop/test before we could come up with an approximation at all. We definitely don't want it to take way too long.
So, there is no point in waiting for these new products to come while missing a lot of great Kangaroo trades in the meantime...
(I also can't tell anything about iPhone 5. I'm an Android guy.

Re: Kangaroo on GKFX, and Umbrella?
I do not know why but I have a feeling the Kanga Team can come up with a far better superior and competent solutions/products than 4xSolutions - also if you live in UK, there are some VAT taxes that will/could potentially be more expensive, in addition to the subscription itself.
The products 4xSolutions are according to me way far INFERIOR to the Kanga - and I wish the Kanga Team does not mix up with them. Also the latency might an issue which should not be neglected.
Finally, I am not sure about the people behind 4xSolutions
- something is not 'right', according to some people: for the record, they have offered pretty dodgy products in the past too!
Dutch/Ozzie/Tom - I could be wrong but you surely can develop/deserve far better than 4xSolutions. I am certainly sure of that - please do your own thing with your own conditions and at your own time, all this in order NOT to deliver dodgy stuff and above all to stand out from the crowd... The dodgy crowd!
Cheers
